Thank you all for donating your sticky, chewy candy to the office! We sent the donated candy to our Troops in Iraq! Thank you all for participating!

In celebration of Halloween and National Orthodontic Health Month we are having a Pumpkin Decorating Contest. We will supply you with a picture of a pumpkin which you can decorate any way you wish, the sky’s the limit! We will be displaying the pumpkins throughout our office during the months of September and October. After Halloween we will judge the pumpkins in the following categories: Scariest, Funniest and Most Original. Each winner will receive a $10.00 gift certificate to McDonald’s Please take one of the pumpkin pictures or ask any staff member if you would like one. Have fun decorating!!

Halloween is approaching which means a lot of sugary, sticky candy will be around and we all know too much candy isn’t good for you, especially your teeth. Why not turn in some candy for a chance to win something even sweeter... a $20.00 gift certificate to The Limerick Outlets! Come into our office between November 1ST and November 12th and for every 20 pieces of wrapped candy you exchange, your name will be entered into our drawing. The drawing will be held on Monday, November 15th.

October is National Orthodontic Health month. The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that children have an Orthodontic Evaluation at age 7. Of course this evaluation can be done sooner if you or your general dentist see the need. Please see one of our staff at the front desk if you would like to schedule an appointment.

The end of the year is approaching! We want to remind all of our patients who have a Flex Spending Account with their insurance Company to maximize your Flex Spending Account dollars for 2010 and to plan for your Flex Spending Account dollars for 2011! We are here to assist you in receiving any benefits that are due to you for Orthodontic coverage. Please, feel free to talk to our financial coordinator, Toni, about our many automatic payment options. (credit card, checking, on-line)

Do you have any friends or relatives who would like to have braces? Do you know any kids on your baseball team, people from church, in your neighborhood or at school who need braces? Please take one of our business cards, write your name on the back of it, and give them to anyone you know who wants braces. When your friends come in for an Orthodontic Evaluation with our business card and your name on it we will enter into a drawing to win the coolest prize. The more friends you send, the more chances you have to win!

Dr. McSurdy, Dr. Pavlow and staff have visited numerous schools during the months of March and April. We visit schools and educate the students about dental health while incorporating math, science and reading.

The schools included were the Limerick Chapel, Falkner-Swamp Nursery and the Trappe YMCA. Students from Skippack Elementary School, South Elementary and Evergreen attended the YMCA program.
