First Visit
During your first complimentary visit to our office, treatment goals are established for the patient. At this initial visit, which takes about one hour, you will meet with one of our New Patient Coordinators. Diane or Sue will address your concerns and introduce you to Dr. McSurdy. Mary, our Diagnostic Records Coordinator, will take some photos of your face and teeth and the necessary x-rays. Just this one visit allows us to gain all the information needed to make a precise diagnosis and recommendation. Our New Patient Coordinator will go over payment options and schedule any needed appointments.
Once treatment begins, we want patients and parents to feel at ease asking questions at any time during the treatment. In addition, we maintain good communication with your general dentist, in the form of progress reports sent after each regular scheduled visit, and a report when braces are removed.
Insurance
If you have insurance we will help you to determine the coverage you have available. We ask that you assign your insurance benefit to us. The balance will be arranged for you to pay. Professional care is provided to you, our patient, and not to an insurance company. Thus, the insurance company is responsible to the patient and the patient is responsible to the doctor. We will help in every way we can in filing your claim and handling insurance questions from our office on your behalf.
